Tallinn Photomonth is an international biennial of contemporary art that looks broadly at developments in art and society in a world intensively mediated by cameras, screens and images. The biennial was initiated by the Estonian Union of Photography Artists (FOKU) in 2011 with the aim of fostering and supporting cooperation between art institutions, galleries and artists.

The 8th Tallinn Photomonth will take place from September 5 to October 31, 2025. More information coming soon!

In 2023, one of the largest contemporary art events in Estonia, Tallinn Photomonth (6.10.–26.11.2023) presented an international group show at Tallinn Art Hall’s Lasnamäe Pavilion, an artists’ film programme in cinema Sõprus, organised in cooperation with the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), and a public space installation in two trams and two tram stops in Tallinn. Partners of the biennial’s satellite programme included Fotografiska Tallinn, galleries of the Estonian Artists’ Association, Juhan Kuus Documentary Photo Centre and Tartu Art House among others. Altogether Tallinn Photomonth 2023 had more than 35,000 visitors.
